Spring: polarized

One of the things that is hard to capture in photos of my art is the texture. That is part of the whole show for me. I love the the patina of old buildings and furniture, the real time worn feel of things. With all the layers of paint I try to capture some of that same feeling, not as a mimic but has a homage. This painting uses different finishes as well as a mix of acrylic and oil based paints. The result is a varied landscape of lusters that enhance the chorus and cacophony of colors.
